An American Imperative
There is nothing as critical as getting the rising cost of healthcare under control. Too many Missourians and Americans are suffering under these financial burdens, and government policies have failed to fix the problem.
The first hurdle is to get voters and elected officials to believe that we can fix the problem without the extreme measure of turning our healthcare over to a single-payer system that would immeasurably destroy patient choice and how government interacts with the people.
The second step is to restore market sanity through transparency and consumer-driven care. Patients need to become real consumers of healthcare.
Third, we need to quit robbing "Peter" to pay for "Paul's" care.
